Ardent Children's Home and Preparatory School

A Place to Belong,
and a Future to Build.

A home where children are known and loved. A school where they are taught and prepared for life. A community shaped by Christ-centered service and faithful care.
Build People, Not an Empire.
We want children to have more than a place to sleep. We want them to have a place to belong: a home with shared meals, room to study, space for conversation, and people who help prepare them for the responsibilities of life. The proposed homes are intended to support that daily life, with welcoming residential spaces rather than simply providing beds.

The purpose of this campus is not its size, its architecture, or the number of buildings we can construct. Its purpose is the people it will serve. Our vision is to provide a home for 40 boys and 40 girls, ages 11–18, alongside a preparatory school serving children living on campus and other enrolled students. Staff housing would support a community in which those serving the children can also share in the life of the campus.

Help Take the First Step

Today, we are asking you to help secure the land. The homes, classrooms, and daily life pictured in this vision are still ahead of us. Phase 1 is the opportunity to help establish the location where that future work could happen. Make a difference with us and donate to fund this vision. Pray for wisdom, provision, and faithful stewardship. Share the vision with someone who may want to help. Project Phases

One Vision. Five Phases.
The full vision will be pursued through five phases, beginning with the land purchase and moving toward the homes, school, and staff housing.
Phase 1 - Secure Property // 2027
We are currently in Phase 1, working toward the purchase of the property that would make this vision possible.
The proposed acquisition includes a 12-acre lot and an adjoining 3-acre lot, connected to Ardent’s existing 1.35-acre childcare property : $1,750,000 Together, these properties would create a 16.35-acre campus for the children’s homes, preparatory school, and on-site staff housing. The existing childcare property is already part of Ardent’s campus and is not included in the new purchase.
Phase 2 - Planning and Development // 2028
With the property secured, we will move into campus planning and development: $750,000 This phase prepares the way for construction, laying the groundwork for the homes, school, and staff housing that will bring the campus to life.
Phase 3 - Boys Home and Staff House // 2029-2030
Build a welcoming home planned to serve 40 boys, along with the first on-site staff home: $1,200,000 Our vision is more than a place to sleep—it is a place where children are known, loved, taught, and prepared for life.
Phase 4 - Preparatory School // 2030-2032
Construct Ardent Academy Preparatory School and one additional staff home: $4,000,000. Serving both children living on campus and students from the wider community, the school will bring learning and preparation for life into the heart of the campus.
Phase 5 - Girls Home and Staff Houses // 2032-2033
Build a matching home planned to serve 40 girls, together with additional staff housing: $1,500,000 This phase completes the planned residential buildings, advancing our vision of one connected community where boys and girls receive the same dignity, belonging, and faithful care.

The Children's Home

The proposed campus includes two matching, two-story homes: one for boys and one for girls. Each home is planned at approximately 8,000 square feet, with shared living spaces and areas for meals, study, everyday responsibilities, and appropriate privacy. Our aim is a welcoming home environment that gives both boys and girls an equal sense of dignity and belonging. The goal of serving 80 children is a ministry target; final residential capacity and room arrangements must be established through the care-planning and professional design process.

Ardent Academy Preparatory School

A place to learn. Preparation for life.
The vision includes a 15,000-square-foot, two-story preparatory school serving children living on campus and other enrolled students from the wider community. Proposed spaces include classrooms, shared study areas, administration, and student support. The school would be connected to campus life while keeping school arrival and visitor access distinct from the children’s private residential areas. Final grade offerings, enrollment capacity, and educational staffing remain part of the planning process.

Staff Housing

Small, one-bedroom staff homes are planned alongside the children’s homes and school. This housing is intended to support continuity, availability, and participation in everyday campus life.
Staff housing is one part of the vision, not a substitute for a complete care team. Supervision, overnight responsibilities, relief coverage, training, and emergency response must be addressed through a separate staffing plan.

Stewardship Beyond the Buildings

A Place to Serve Requires a Plan to Sustain It.
Purchasing land and constructing buildings are only part of the responsibility. The long-term vision also requires careful planning for the daily life of the children, the operation of the school, and the people who will serve throughout the campus. Annual operating plans must address staffing, food, transportation, resident support, insurance, maintenance, utilities, educational materials, and administration.
